Latvian city of Liepaja is one of the three largest cities in the Baltic States region. It is well-known not only for its historic sightseeings and clean coasts, but also for its favourable business climate. In 1997 a special economic zone was created here and eventually it has become highly attractive for doing business.

In September 2016 Akrilika Company featuring FESTOOL local representative office held a special training session on solid surface fabrication techniques with an ephasis on hands-on practice using the FESTOOL tools and equipment.

The training participants were from different countries - Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria etc.

All major stages of solid surface countertop fabrication were discussed: from transportation and storage issues to laying out, thermoforming, seaming, sanding and polishing the solid surface. 

A practical part of the training was of high interest to participants.

After the end of the training the official AFTC (Akrilika FESTOOL Training Center) certificates were issued to the trainees.
