Basic stains and everyday care Moisten the surface, apply some mild non-abrasive cleanser, wipe the surface with a soft sponge or cloth.
Stubborn stains Use a sponge and a mild abrasive detergent. Use a mild powder or gel cleanser and a wet sponge. Clean your countertop with warm soapy water, soft cloth and mild non-abrasive cleanser.

DO NOT expose your countertop to harsh substances and chemicals (i.e. solvent, turpentine, oven and sink cleaners etc.). If the countertop has been already exposed to them, try to wash them away as soon as it is possible, regarding general precautions.

DO NOT place sizzling hot cookware or any other objects on a solid surface countertop. Always use separate or integrated trivets.

DO NOT cut on a solid surface material. Your solid surface countertop is not a carving board, please use a separate one. Otherwise, your countertop may get scrathes. DO NOT throw heavy objects on it.

In case you have high gloss finish on your countertop, please use soft material coasters and mounts for any cookware or dishers (i.e. porcelain) which can leave scratches on a sloid surface.

Please note, that damage caused by customer's abuse of these recommendations will be regarded as a non-warranty case.

Any minor signs of everyday wear of solid surface countertop cannot be regarded as a warranty case. To remove scratches or (if necessary) to repair your solid surface countertop please contact your solid surface countertop fabricator or any other local certified Akrilika dealer.

Sinks and bowls maintenance
Acrylic sinks and bowls are distinguished by its ecological features; they do not absorb water or any other liquids. It is very easy to keep them clean. However, there are some rules of care and maintenance you need to follow.

Always turn on the cool water prior to pouring the boiling water out from your cookware into a solid surface sink. DO NOT use your solid surface product in temperature conditions higher that 115 degrees Celcius.

DO NOT install any kind of shredder device on a solid surface sink. A permanent vibration can damage it.

Hot objects can damage the surface of an acrylic sink. Thus put a silicone or rubber pad on a sink bottom before you place your hot cookware, pan etc.

The surface of acrylic sink or bowl should be cleaned with soft sponge or cloth with non-abrasive cleanser. DO NOT use abrasive cleansers, for it may damage your solid surface sink or bowl.

In case agressive substances (i.e. petrol, turpentine, oven cleanser etc.) got onto sink's surface,try to wash them away as soon as it is possible, regarding general precautions.

Cleaning the Kitchen Sink
To keep your solid surface sink bright and fresh, periodically wash it using general non-abrasive cleaning substance and water. Fill the 1/4 of the sink with water, add cleaning substance, and use this mixture to clean the whole sink, and then leave it for 15 minutes. Finally, rinse the sink with running water.
Caution! This tip DOES NOT apply for dark colors sinks.
